Book Review: The Thing about Georgie

Georgia Book Award nominee, The Thing about Georgie by Lisa Graff, would be a great book to read when studying past presidents of the United States. Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Herbert Hoover are all mentioned in this book.   Georgie is a student with physical challenges, who learns that looks are not the most important part of a person.  He also learns that having more than one friend definitely has its benefits.  This is a contemporary realistic fiction book, which is geared toward students in grades 3-5.
